A few things about the countdown

Which timezone does this countdown use?

Your device's local timezone. It counts down to midnight at the start of December 1. Family members in different timezones may see different numbers. This public clock does not change your profile's calendar timezone.

Why might the days look different from a calendar?

The live clock shows complete 24-hour periods plus hours, minutes, and seconds. The calendar-day count and homepage widget count date changes instead. Daylight saving time can make a local day shorter or longer than 24 hours.

What happens when December 1st arrives?

The clock stays at zero and shows a celebration message throughout December 1. The following day, it automatically starts counting down to next year's December 1st.

Do I need an account to use the countdown?

No. Both countdowns are free to view and share. An account is only needed for your personal calendar, family profiles, and private planner.

Will the clock keep up if I leave this tab open?

Yes. The clock recalculates from your device time every second and refreshes when you return to the tab. Keep your device's date, time, and timezone accurate. JavaScript is needed for the live numbers.
